INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

– In general, we pay attention so as to install the device as low as possible on the radiator, however the cold water inlet (tip) of the device should never be lower than the bottom hole (connection socket) of the radiator. If this is the case, the device will warm up and this is not desirable.

– The ideal connection position for the Microboiler on the radiator is the cold water inlet (tip) of the device to be directly connected to the bottom hole (connection socket) of the radiator. However, in case we connect it on an existing radiator and this is not possible, we try to approach as much as possible to the ideal. When we proceed to a new installation, we’d better take into account and place the radiators higher than usual, so as the Microboiler to be correctly installed and also the vacuum to smoothly pass under it.

– In case we install the Microboiler on an existing radiator of existing installation, we pay attention so as the bottom part of the device to be approximately at the same level with the bottom part of the radiator so as the housewife’s vacuum not to come upon it. Our main goal is the device to be installed as low as possible, but the cold water inlet (tip) of the device should never be lower than the bottom hole (connection socket) of the radiator.

– If we wish to simply set the activation/ deactivation time of the device, we may use a simple time switch placed on the socket on the wall and set the desirable operation time before connecting the plug of the device.

– If we want a more automated operation mode, we may use wireless switches and wireless central thermostat for the space, which may also be used as central switch for the system. It goes without saying that in a new building we may predict a wire operation control system at the electrical installation, which is cheaper.

OPERATION MODE

This device, once the socket is installed (and connected) to the current immediately begins to raise the heat to the upper of the radiator and warm the room. The energy that is not returned in the room is accumulated in the radiator thus slowly warming up the case, from up to down, which in its turn spreads the energy in the room. Due to the heat and the expansion caused to water in the radiator, which moves to the upper of the radiator, as it is lighter due to the increase of its volume, thus increasing the pressure in its interior, pushing and forcing the cold water to move down to the entrance (tip) of the microboiler and in the hot water tank, where it heats and repeats the same procedure. Since the purpose is to immediately return the whole quantity of energy in the space, we will have to confirm that the bottom part of the radiator is not overheated and that it remains lukewarm; additionally, this proves that there is correct proportion between the size of the radiator and the power (Kw of the microboiler) and that it operates correctly and in a balanced way.

 

For old installations with old-fashioned radiators

This is the case when we have old-fashioned radiators with a switch on the top and one at the bottom of them. Whenever we turn on the microboiler, we turn off the switch on the top of the radiator; if we do not turn it off, the hot water will move upwards and this is not desirable. We do not turn off the bottom switch since it is used for the pressure relief due to heat in the interior of the radiator.

Whenever we wish to heat the residence via the central heating of the building, we turn off the microboiler and turn on the top switch on the radiator.

Furthermore, in some old installations with old-fashioned radiators there is no bottom hole on the side of the air vent in order to be connected with the cold water inlet to the microboiler. In such case, we insert a tee on the other side of the radiator, between it and the bottom switch and we lead the water via chromised pipe or other, under or behind the radiator to the water inlet on the microboiler.

In general, we underline that if there is a space problem at the location where the radiator is installed, we may install the microboiler at horizontal distance from it, as long as we take care so as the bottom part of the device to be at about the same height with the bottom part of the radiator.

 LIKE A STOVE FIXED ON THE WALL

-You will have to buy the microboiler, a radiator 22-800-500 for 0.5 kw and a microboiler 0.5 kw, or respectively a radiator 22-900-900 for 1 kw and a microboiler 1 kw, or respectively a radiator 33-900-900 for 1.5 kw and a microboiler 1.5 kw, a male bronze bend 2 X ½, a chromised female level switch ½, a connector, straight female bronze pipe fitting ½, a tee, an air vent (usually contained in the package of the radiator), a safety backdraft valve of 4 atmospheres, a tip ½, a bronze male pipe fitting for one-pipe system Φ16-½, and rib Φ16 of 0.8 meters for one-pipe system and canvas or teflon seal tape. After you hang the radiator against the wall, using the special support basis contained in its package, connect every part on the heater, as you may see at the photo without the air vent, fill with distilled water and place the air vent, turn off the switch and in order to start operation by connecting the plug to the current. In practice, after it has operated for some time, and in case it seems to wrongly distribute the temperature to the heater, it is possible venting and water fill up to be required. In any case, fill up with water when the radiator is cold and when the switch is on its level should not exceed the bend; that is to say, there should be 2-3 centimeters of air under the ball for relief of the internal pressure. Attention!!! We do never turn on the switch when the radiator works as it will eject hot water. When we have completed these works, we plug the switch for security reasons by using one of the plastic protective plugs that we remove from the heated when taking if off its original package.
